THREE HELD FOR MURDER BID ON FAMILY IN FARRUKHNAGAR
GURUGRAM: The crime investigation wing of Gurugram police arrested three men for their alleged involvement in the murder bid on a family in Dhanawas village, Farrukhnagar, police said on Sunday.
The accused, in their mid 20s, were identified as Yogesh, Pankaj and Vipin. They were arrested on Friday at a police barricade near Mubarakpur turning point while they were travelling in an Alto K-10. Police said that Pankaj and Vipin hail from Bahadurgarh, Jhajjar district while Yogesh is a native of Balaji colony, Farrukhnagar. Police recovered two countrymade pistols, four live cartridges, one empty cartridge and the Alto allegedly used during the crime, from them.
Sub-inspector Suresh, who was part of the CIA team which that nabbed the accused, said, “The accused had barged into a house in Dhanawas village and escaped after firing three shots. During interrogation, the accused said they had a dispute with the family. We laid a trap after receiving a specific input that the accused were travelling in an Alto.”
ASI Satyawan, another member of the crime team, said that the accused did not have a criminal history and the crime was the fallout of a personal dispute.
A case was registered at Farrukhnagar police station on June 14, on the complaint of Rahul, a student of Industrial Training Institute Gurugram. The accused were booked under sections 307 (attempt to murder), 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention), 452 (housetrespass after preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint) of the IPC and Section 25 of the Arms Act.
In his complaint, Rahul alleged that four men, who came in a white Maruti Alto K-10, broke into their house in Dhanwas village at 9.35pm on June 13 and fired three shots.
No one was hurt in the incident, police said.
The accused were produced in the district court and sent to judicial custody in Bhondsi jail.
