NEW DELHI: The Delhi zoo recorded its highest footfall till date on Sunday with around 43,105 visitors, officials said.

“This a new record the zoo has set. There were adequate arrangements,” said Renu Singh, zoo director.

To cater to the rush, zoo officials said they had to open at least nine ticket counters and open around eight entry gates.

On the day of Eid, the zoo received around 32,447 visitors, which was higher than last year’s figure of 30,223 visitors recorded on Eid.
