Akali leader Kirpal Singh Khirnia passes away

LUDHIANA: Senior Akali leader Kirpal Singh Khirnia, 85, died of cardiac arrest on Thursday morning. Khirnia was the member of SAD political affairs committee and Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee. His son Jagjivan Singh Khirnia is the president of the district Ludhiana rural unit of SAD and a former MLA. Cremation of the leader will take place on Saturday. HTC
