JATS TO START RALLIES FOR QUOTA, ‘AGREED DEMANDS’
HISAR : The All India Jat Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti (AIJASS) national president Yashpal Malik on Wednesday announced to hold more rallies to press for their demand for reservation and implementation of the ones 'agreed' by the Haryana government. Malik made the announcement after a state executive meeting held in Rohtak.
Talking to the media, Malik said the government had agreed on six demands of the community on March 19 in Delhi, following which the AIJASS had deferred its ‘Delhi kooch’ move as part of which they were planning to take tractor-trailers to the national capital.
“We have maintained that some of our demands have been met, but work on others is still pending. Also, BJP MP from Kurukshetra, Raj Kumar Saini, is continuously making derogatory remarks against the Jat community and its leaders. We will hold a state-level rally at Jhajjar on August 27 to remind the state leadership of its commitments,” he said.
The next rally will be organized at Hisar on September 13 and the third rally, the venue for which is yet to be finalised, on November 24.
