FOUR ARRESTED IN FIRING INCIDENT

AMRITSAR: Police held four persons in a firing incident on Ajnala Road on Wednesday. In a video footage that went viral, a person was seen firing in the air and others pelting stones. ADCP (II) Lakhbir Singh said, “A dispute had taken place over property. Matter was settled, but one party opened fire. Police held all four.” Accused are Navjeet Singh, Gurjant Singh, Jagjit Singh and Simranjit Singh. A case under Section 307 of the IPC has been registered.
