THREE BOOKED FOR RAP­ING GIRL IN SAN­GRUR VIL­LAGE

SAN­GRUR:Po­lice have booked three men for the gan­grape of a Dalit 16-year-old in a San­grur vil­lage on Fri­day.

The girl has been ad­mit­ted to San­grur civil hospi­tal with the three ac­cused — Kalu, Seeti and Kuldeep Singh ab­scond­ing.

San­grur Sadar sta­tion house of­fi­cer Ran­jit Singh said one of the ac­cused, Kalu, went to the girl’s home and called him to his house. At Kalu’s house, Kuldeep raped her, the po­lice claim, adding that no ar­rests had been made yet in the case.

“A case has been reg­is­tered un­der Sec­tions 376D (gan­grape) of the In­dian Pe­nal Code on the ba­sis of her state­ment. In­ves­ti­ga­tion is on,” the sta­tion house of­fi­cer added, claim­ing that the ac­cused would be ar­rested soon.

He added that they cer­tain leads that could be fol­lowed.
