Thermal plant employees hold protest

BATHINDA: Employees of the Guru Nanak Thermal Plant, Bathinda, staged a protest on Monday demanding revival of the plant that has now been completely shut down. Around 1,500 employees, half of them contractual, raised anti-government slogans. They also demanded probe into the power purchase agreements that the previous Akali-BJP government signed with the private players.
