DhumalJai Ram bonhomie
Himachal Pradesh chief minister Jai Ram Thakur and former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, who was the party’s chief ministerial face but lost, are showing great bonhomie.
During the CM’s maiden visit to Hamirpur, Dhumal welcomed him with a bouquet of flowers. After his defeat, Dhumal has been attending public functions in his longtime bastion, but was by Jai Ram’s side at Gandhi chowk. All Jai Ram did was shower praise on Dhumal, reminding the people how he had worked for strengthening the party. Already, there is talk in political circles that the BJP may field Dhumal from Hamirpur Lok Sabha seat, currently represented by his son Anurag Thakur.
