KEEP YOURSELF BUSY IN ORDER TO FEEL GOOD AND BE PRODUCTIVE

The other day, I was introduced to the phrase ‘sublime indifference’ by a friend who said, was a victim of such a situation. The immediate meaning of ‘sublime indifference’ is that people do not hate you but then they do not like you as well. They are just indifferent but not in a manner that they will make it public.

My friend said people either didn’t care much for him or, at times, not at all.

He used the phrase ‘sublime indifference’ repeatedly as he felt that he was being “left alone” by his friends and people around him.

I dismissed his feeling saying that he was being too sensitive and that he should be “practical and down-to-earth.” People, these days, don’t have time as they are lost in the rigmarole of their own world.

The best way is to mind your own business as indifference by others could be a reality, but could also be a case of your own making. When you are too sensitive, you may feel the need for attention by others, particularly your friends and neighbours. Be sure, they don’t have the time to pamper you even if you try to be the best person in town.

If you mind your own business, you will keep yourself busy, and you too will have no time for others. And that gives you no time to grumble over loneliness issues.
