Farmers protest govt action on paddy sown so far

With the state government sending notices to and uprooting paddy sown before its mandated date of June 20, farmers under the banner of BKU (EktaUgrahan) held marches in Maur, Goniana, Rampura Phul, Bhagta and Bhucho in Bathinda. Farmers also burnt government’s effigies at Rampura Phul and Maur.
