GOVT EMPLOYEES MERE SCAPEGOATS

Irrespective of the party in power, the Punjab government employees are made scapegoats in any crisis-like situation. The solution to drug abuse in the state has been presented in the form of dope tests on employees. Earlier, financial crunch had resulted in non-payment of salaries to employees, even when most of them overwork due to staff shortage. Revision of dearness allowance (DA) has not been done after the 2017 assembly elections. The government needs to be sympathetic and kind to its employees. Ranvir Kaur, Mohali
