SLUGGISH JOB MARKET

-

Companies across the world are cutting jobs due to poor sales amid the pandemic. Airbus and BMW, too, have announced job cuts. The employment market is likely to be tight for at least 18 months, assuming that a vaccine is discovered by the first quarter of 2021. Till the world is safe again, people will avoid spending money and economic activity will remain sluggish. Unless a person is from a business family and can be absorbed in it or has ample savings, the future can be tough. It is, therefore, better for a person to stay put at their current job, even at a salary cut. A job is a blessing these days and the wise will hold on to it. Rajendra Aneja
