HERGÉ TRIVIA

-

Hergé was inspired by the works of the French writer Jules Verne, who wrote such classic adventure novels as Around the World in Eighty Days.

He created the pen name by reversing his initials G and R (Georges Remi), making it RG or Hergé.

Tintin explored the moon in 1954, i.e. 15 years before Neil Armstrong.

Hergé created two other well-known series, Quick & Flupke (1930–40) and The Adventures of Jo, Zette and Jocko (1936–57).
