All you need to know about the new relationship term: Stashed

The latest slang in the ever-expanding dictionary of dating terms, being stashed is when your partner deliberately hides your relationship from friends and family

Reading the lines above, if you’ve already started fretting about whether you’re being stashed in that oh-so romantic relationship of yours, then stop! It’s important to first understand this latest dating term that’s doing the rounds online, and the reasons behind someone stashing their partner.

The term was first coined by the British publication Metro UK, and can be defined as a situation where one’s partner decides to hide the relationship from their friends, family and social media. This doesn’t necessarily mean your partner isn’t into you. We ask psychologists and counselors Shivani Misri Sadhoo and Anil Sethi to shed light on this phenomenon.
