‘Jiya jaye na’ (Euphoria)

Hindustan Times (Lucknow) - Live - - My City -

SINGER: Dr Palash Sen and Shreya Ghoshal MUSIC: Dr Palash Sen LYRICS: Dr Palash Sen and Deekshant Sahrawat Euphoria is known for having kept non-film music alive. Dr Palash Sen talks about his latest track.

This song is actually from a short film, which is based on Kashmir. It’s not just my directorial debut but also my son Kinshuk’s acting debut. We always tease him saying that we cast him for the short film primarily because he didn’t charge us, but honestly he has been too good for his debut. It’s not just a love song. When you feel immense love for something — be it your family, your friends, your partner or your country — you cannot live without it. You are forever absorbed in thoughts, forever soaked in passion. This song is about that passion. I never imagined that such a simple song will become an anthem for people and will be receive with so much love. (‘Jiya jaye na’ is at the top of the charts on Fever 104 FM

this week)
