CATEGORY: SOCIAL WORK

Helping others has been in my nature from the very beginning. It comes spontaneously and I am used to helping others as much as I can. I used to teach kids from my family and the ones from my local area, too.

One day, I got a life time opportunity when I was appointed as Assistant Teacher in Basic Education. I was posted in a remote, rural area but I was happy as that made it possible for me to teach underprivileged children and help them out. I am also fond of writing poetry and wrote my first book of poems, ‘Mai Aur Meri Kavita’ last year. One day when I was going to school, I wrote a poem on a tree which made me realize the harm we bring to the environment. It shook me and compelled me to plant as many trees as I could. I formed a group called ‘Badhtey Haath’ whose primary aim is to plant as many trees as possible. I am also associated with various other social groups like GAU SEWA for cows and animals, and various other literary groups.
