Or­a­cle an­nounced its con­tin­ued ef­forts to sup­port heart surg­eries for un­der­priv­i­leged chil­dren suf­fer­ing from Con­gen­i­tal Heart Dis­ease (CHD) through­out In­dia. Through its col­lab­o­ra­tion with Ge­n­e­sis Foun­da­tion, an NGO that works to­wards the cause of ‘sav­ing lit­tle hearts’, The com­pany aims to raise funds and aware­ness about the sub­ject in the coun­try. The pro­gram, named ‘Project Lit­tle Hearts’ takes a holis­tic ap­proach to­wards the cause by sup­port­ing surg­eries with a ded­i­cated grant of a hun­dred thou­sand US Dol­lars and rais­ing aware­ness and funds through events to be or­gan­ised over the course of this year. The grant and a se­ries of aware­ness events to­gether aim to sup­port the surg­eries of up­wards of a hun­dred and fifty chil­dren. Ra­jen­dra Tri­pathi, se­nior man­ager said “Every year, an alarm­ing num­ber of chil­dren are born with CHD and many don’t sur­vive due to lack of aware­ness and timely in­ter­ven­tion. The projects aims raise aware­ness about heart care by stress­ing on the im­por­tance of a more ac­tive and healthy life­style and by mo­bi­liz­ing a larger com­mu­nity to­wards the cause.”
