SAVING LITTLE HEARTS

Oracle announced its continued efforts to support heart surgeries for underprivi­leged children suffering from Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) throughout India. Through its collaborat­ion with Genesis Foundation, an NGO that works towards the cause of ‘saving little hearts’, The company aims to raise funds and awareness about the subject in the country. The program, named ‘Project Little Hearts’ takes a holistic approach towards the cause by supporting surgeries with a dedicated grant of a hundred thousand US Dollars and raising awareness and funds through events to be organised over the course of this year. The grant and a series of awareness events together aim to support the surgeries of upwards of a hundred and fifty children. Rajendra Tripathi, senior manager said “Every year, an alarming number of children are born with CHD and many don’t survive due to lack of awareness and timely interventi­on. The projects aims raise awareness about heart care by stressing on the importance of a more active and healthy lifestyle and by mobilizing a larger community towards the cause.”
