HIMALAYAN DRIVE AND BACK!
The Himalayan Challenge Car Rally, that started from Delhi to Kathmandu, reached Lucknow on Wednesday and after a night halt began its return journey to the originating city, via Agra. During the 12-day trip, they travelled to Chandigarh, Mcleodganj, Manali, Shimla, Mussorie, Nainital, Pokhra, Kathmandu, Chitwan before reaching Lucknow.
Oudh Heritage Car Club, Lucknow core team comprising vice president M A Khan, secretaries Sandeep Narain and Rahul Prasad with some senior members called upon the travellers and welcomed them. 36 vintage cars started from Delhi out of which 31 reached Lucknow. The cars are divided in various categories and date back to 1925. “The entire troupe comprises of European enthusiasts and the cars have been airlifted from their respective countries to India. Now, after the rally concludes in New Delhi they cars will be sent to their originating destinations,” said MA Khan.
