The Hi­malayan Chal­lenge Car Rally, that started from Delhi to Kath­mandu, reached Lucknow on Wed­nes­day and af­ter a night halt be­gan its re­turn jour­ney to the orig­i­nat­ing city, via Agra. Dur­ing the 12-day trip, they trav­elled to Chandigarh, Mcleodganj, Manali, Shimla, Mus­sorie, Naini­tal, Pokhra, Kath­mandu, Chit­wan be­fore reach­ing Lucknow.

Oudh Her­itage Car Club, Lucknow core team com­pris­ing vice pres­i­dent M A Khan, sec­re­taries San­deep Narain and Rahul Prasad with some se­nior mem­bers called upon the trav­ellers and wel­comed them. 36 vin­tage cars started from Delhi out of which 31 reached Lucknow. The cars are di­vided in var­i­ous cat­e­gories and date back to 1925. “The en­tire troupe com­prises of Euro­pean en­thu­si­asts and the cars have been air­lifted from their re­spec­tive coun­tries to In­dia. Now, af­ter the rally con­cludes in New Delhi they cars will be sent to their orig­i­nat­ing destinations,” said MA Khan.
