Rape survivor doing well after abortion, say docs

Doctors at the RN Cooper Hospital said they have successfully terminated the 24-year-old rape survivor’s pregnancy. Based on a medical evaluation report by doctors at KEM Hospital, the woman was granted permission by the Supreme Court on Monday to abort her 24-week-old foetus. “The abortion went well. The patient is doing fine,” said Dr Rina Wani, professor of gynecology and obstetrics at Cooper hospital.
