INDIANAMERICAN TO BE INTRODUCED AS EMERGING DEMOCRATIC LEADER
Indian-American Raja Krishnamoorthi, a Democratic Congressional candidate from Illinois, will be introduced as one of the party’s emerging leaders during the ongoing Democratic National Convention here. Krishnamoorthi, 42, is among only two Congressional candidates to have been invited on to the DNC stage here as the party’s rising stars or emerging leaders. Stephanie Murphy from Florida is the other Congressional candidate to be recognised by the Democratic party in this category. Having won the Democratic party’s Congressional primary in Illinois in March, Krishnamoorthi faces Republican Peter DiCianni who ran unopposed during the primary.
