Two more suspected dengue deaths

There seems no respite from dengue as 11 fresh confirmed cases were reported in the state capital on Sunday, taking the tally of such patients to 696.

Two suspected dengue deaths were also reportedduring the day. A 48-year-old man and a 13-year-old boy died during treatment. Both were admitted to hospital with high fever and headache. Worse still, over 100 patients of chikungunya have been identified and being given treatment in various hospitals. Over three dozen such patients have been identified at BRD Mahanagar hospital. At present, 37 dengue patients are under treatment at Balrampur Hospital, 34 at Civil and 18 at Lohia hospital. In the state, the total number of dengue cases has crossed 10,000.
