Objectionable poster: Committee to submit report by October 28
The district administration has constituted a committee to look into the matter related to an objectionable poster of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that was found at the venue of a workshop on cleanliness. The committee comprising a magistrate, police officer and school principal, has been asked to submit its report by October 28.
The workshop was organised on Nagar Nigam Inter College premises in Tajganj here on October 21. District magistrate Gaurav Dayal and municipal commissioner Indra Vikram Singh were guests for the workshop on ‘Swachh Bharat’ mission. The aim of the event was to make Tajganj a litter-free zone. However, the workshop was in news for other reasons after a poster was found placed near the entrance of the college.
The poster depicted PM Modi with a broom in his hand and blood dripping from a ‘trishul’ painted on one side. A ghost was shown standing behind the PM asking: “Mr Modi how would you clear these blood stains’ with the words ‘Gujarat genocide’ painted on the back of the jacket worn by the PM. Municipal commissioner Indra Vikram Singh held it as ‘mischief ’ of some anti-social elements.
On Saturday, the DMconstituted a committee comprising additional city magistrate (IV), circle officer (Sadar) and principal of Agra Nagar Nigam College as members. “The panel will submit its report by October 28 and recommendations made by it would be considered,” stated Gaurav Dayal.
