IS militants kill 11 in Afghan mosque ambush

At least 10 police officers and the wife of a police commander were killed in an ambush by Islamic State militants in Afghanistan’s Zawzjan province, an official said. The spokesman for the Zawzjan governor said the police officers were ambushed on Friday as they were exiting a mosque. The wife of the commander heard about the incident and rushed there, where she was also killed.
