LUC­KNOW : Fo­cussing on task -ri­ented polic­ing, se­nior su­per­in­ten­dent of po­lice (SSP) Deepak Ku­mar has con­sti­tuted three sep­a­rate teams to keep track of crim­i­nals, curb crime graph, main­tain com­mu­nal har­mony and en­sure peace in sen­si­tive ar­eas. The first team has been formed un­der the lead­er­ship of su­per­in­ten­dent of po­lice (SP) North, Anurag Vats and ad­di­tional SP (West) Vikas Chan­dra Tri­pathi. This team com­prises 18 mem­bers, in­clud­ing two cir­cle of­fi­cers, 5 in­spec­tors, two sub in­spec­tors and 7 con­sta­bles. “The crime team has been al­lot­ted the task to track down the dreaded and no­to­ri­ous crim­i­nals mov­ing freely,” said the SSP. He said the team’s pri­mary work would be to ex­pand the po­lice in­tel­li­gence net­work and keep tabs on crim­i­nals’ move­ment. He said the team’s pri­or­ity would be to ar­rest crim­i­nals and put them be­hind the bars. The SSP said the se­cond team un­der lead­er­ship of SP ru­ral, Satish Ku­mar would main­tain di­rect com­mu­ni­ca­tion with the pub­lic and en­sure po­lice-pub­lic co­or­di­na­tion to en­sure peace. He said this team also com­prised ASP Meenakshi Gupta, two cir­cle of­fi­cers and 5 po­lice sta­tions in charges. The third team un­der cir­cle of­fi­cer of Hazrat­ganj Ab­hay Ku­mar Mishra would main­tain law and or­der in the city. The law and or­der team’s ba­sic task is to deal with protests and other prob­lems around Vid­han Bhawan and Hazrat­ganj area. This team com­prises four cir­cle of­fi­cers and 5 po­lice sta­tions in charges.
