Seminar on Mcommerce
LUCKNOW: A two-day national seminar titled “M-Commerce: Strategic perspectives and concerns in the emerging cashless economies” organised by the commerce department of Avadh Girls PG College began on Saturday. U Chaturvedi, principal of the college, marked the opening of the seminar by welcoming the chief guest Neil Jain, IRS, additional commissioner, income tax, keynote speakers Shailesh Chaturvedi (managing director and CEO Tommy Hilfiger, India) and Anjit Anand (product head mobility DCB Bank Ltd). The seminar started with the lighting of the lamp by principal and all the dignitaries present. The first keynote speaker Neil Jain focused on the challenges of M-Commerce namely making users smart phone ready, cyber security and mentioned that the government is very much ready on mobile commerce. Shailesh Chaturvedi emphasised that the technology is taking the world move forward and people are slowly becoming text savvy. The focus should be on the consumer and the technology should be customer friendly as it keeps on changing. Anjit Anand mentioned about the innovative methods used by banks to deal with M-commerce security and was in the favour that digital payments were much safer but we have to be careful in case of organised frauds.
