Min­is­ter for med­i­cal ed­u­ca­tion Ash­hutoosh Tan­don ‘Gopal’ was also present on the oc­ca­sion.

Pro­fes­sor SR Naik best re­search award was given to pro­fes­sor RN Mishra, head of the depart­ment Im­munol­ogy for his re­search on in­vent­ing the mea­sure­ment scale for Takayasu arthri­tis in In­dian pa­tients.

Pro­fes­sor RK Sharma best DM stu­dent award went to Dr Sanat Pathak who in­vented the marker for de­tect­ing kid­ney trou­ble from urine test.

Pro­fes­sor RK Sharma best MCh stu­dent award went to Dr Priyank Ya­dav who in­vented pro­ce­dure to de­cide the kind of surgery in kid­ney can­cer through CT scan.
