Krishna Thadarai

He was an assistant Rajesh Talwar’s clinic. CBI seized a Khukhri from his residence that was claimed to be the murder weapon. But no evidence was found.

Raj Kumar Sharma

A Nepalese, he was the domestic help of the Durranis – friends of the Talwars. Sharma was initially arrested on suspicion of murders but was later let off.

Vijay Mandal

He was the domestic help of Talwars. The CBI had conducted a lie-detection test and narco analysis on the three helps but their role was ruled out.

Dr Anita Durani

Dr Anita Durani drew attention because the rift between Aarushi and her father was being linked to his alleged affair with Durani.

Uttar Pradesh Police

They drew criticism for tampering with the crime scene. They claimed to have cracked the case but failed to explain why Rajesh Talwar was a suspect.

Judge Shyam Lal

The special CBI judge sentenced the Talwars to life. The verdict was based on 26 circumstan­tial evidence its language was coloured with accusation­s.
