Peo­ple, party will ac­cept SC ver­dict: Akhilesh on Ay­o­d­hya me­di­a­tion bid

AGRA :Sa­ma­jwadi Party na­tional pres­i­dent Akhilesh Ya­dav on Tues­day de­scribed Art of Liv­ing founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar as a great saint but added that his party and peo­ple of the coun­try will ac­cept the ver­dict to be de­liv­ered by the Supreme Court on the Ay­o­d­hya is­sue.

Ya­dav made the com­ment in re­ply to ques­tions from re­porters in Firoz­abad.

When asked to com­ment on the re­cent moves in cer­tain quar­ters to thrash out a so­lu­tion to the dis­pute, Ya­dav said the ver­dict of the Supreme Court would be bind­ing on all.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has said he will travel to Ay­o­d­hya and hold talks with var­i­ous stake­hold­ers to the dis­pute on Novem­ber 16.

For his part, Akhilesh Ya­dav said vot­ers will ex­press their anger against the BJP govern­ments at the cen­tre and in the state on the is­sue of de­mon­eti­sa­tion, GST, farm­ers’ loan waiver and un­em­ploy­ment dur­ing the civic elec­tions.
