Patan­jali files re­ply, de­nies be­ing al­lot­ted pe­ti­tioner’s land

AL­LA­HABAD: Patan­jali Ayurved Ltd on Tues­day filed a counter-af­fi­davit (re­ply) be­fore the Al­la­habad high court in con­nec­tion with a pe­ti­tion al­leg­ing wrong­ful al­lot­ment of land for set­ting up a food park in Gau­tam Budh Na­gar. In its re­ply, Patan­jali Ayurved Ltd has de­nied be­ing al­lot­ted land that be­longed to the pe­ti­tioner and said the en­tire process was fol­lowed in ac­cor­dance with law.

The bench com­pris­ing jus­tice Tarun Agar­wala and jus­tice Ajay Bhanot asked the pe­ti­tioner to file a re­join­der af­fi­davit (re­ply to the counter af­fi­davit) by the next hear­ing on Novem­ber 29.

The order was passed on a pe­ti­tion filed by Ausaf of Gau­tam Budh Na­gar.The pe­ti­tioner has chal­lenged the al­lot­ment of 450 acre of land in favour of Patan­jali Ayurved Ltd at Gau­tam Budh Na­gar.

On Tues­day, YEIDA in­formed the court that the pe­ti­tioner’s land was not al­lot­ted to Patan­jali.The counter-af­fi­davit filed by Patan­jali Ayurved Ltd states that Patan­jali and Patan­jali Food and Her­bal Park Noida Pvt Ltd ap­plied for al­lot­ment of land for set­ting up a food pro­cess­ing park un­der the UP In­fra­struc­ture and In­dus­trial In­vest­ment Pol­icy, 2012. The counter-af­fi­davit also said the pe­ti­tioner’s land was not al­lot­ted to Patan­jali.
