Patanjali files reply, denies being allotted petitioner’s land
ALLAHABAD: Patanjali Ayurved Ltd on Tuesday filed a counter-affidavit (reply) before the Allahabad high court in connection with a petition alleging wrongful allotment of land for setting up a food park in Gautam Budh Nagar. In its reply, Patanjali Ayurved Ltd has denied being allotted land that belonged to the petitioner and said the entire process was followed in accordance with law.
The bench comprising justice Tarun Agarwala and justice Ajay Bhanot asked the petitioner to file a rejoinder affidavit (reply to the counter affidavit) by the next hearing on November 29.
The order was passed on a petition filed by Ausaf of Gautam Budh Nagar.The petitioner has challenged the allotment of 450 acre of land in favour of Patanjali Ayurved Ltd at Gautam Budh Nagar.
On Tuesday, YEIDA informed the court that the petitioner’s land was not allotted to Patanjali.The counter-affidavit filed by Patanjali Ayurved Ltd states that Patanjali and Patanjali Food and Herbal Park Noida Pvt Ltd applied for allotment of land for setting up a food processing park under the UP Infrastructure and Industrial Investment Policy, 2012. The counter-affidavit also said the petitioner’s land was not allotted to Patanjali.
