Grammar easy, literature lengthy: Students on CBSE English paper

LUCKNOW: Students who appeared for CBSE’s Class 10 English examinatio­n on Monday found the question paper easy, but said the literature section was lengthy. Most were happy with the grammar portion, terming it “simple and scoring”.

Students also said that all questions were from the syllabus and based on sample papers, which helped them a lot. “I will say that the paper was easy and scoring,” said Fahad Hamid of

The question paper was totally based on sample papers. So, majority of those who mugged up the sample papers will definitely score well.

Shreya Sharma, another student from the same school, added that she found the “literature part time taking”. “Grammar was very easy, but literature questions were hard. It was not just lengthy but tricky too. So, it took a lot of time for us to complete that section,” she said.

Shah Safura Romi, another student, said that “nothing was out of syllabus”. “The question paper was totally based on sample papers. So, majority of those who mugged up the sample papers will definitely score well. In contrast, those who ignored (sample papers), may suffer,” he added.
