Fire at former minister’s residence

LUCKNOW: A fire broke out at former UP minister Ahmad Hasan’s residence in Vishwas Khand, Gomti Nagar on Wednesday. Three fire tenders were pressed into service to control the blaze.

According to cops, the fire broke out in the electronic panel installed near the main gate of the house. Within no time, the fire spread to the first floor of the house.

At the time of incident, the former minister was alone in the house. After getting informatio­n, three fire tenders from the Gomti Nagar fire station rushed to the spot and controlled the fire. Preliminar­y investigat­ion revealed that the blaze was caused due to a short circuit in the electronic panel.
