Seven killed, 35 hurt in bustruck collision
RAE BARELI: Seven people were killed and 35 injured when a bus collided with a pick-up truck near NTPC Unchahar power plant in Rae Bareli on Saturday. CM Yogi Adityanath has announced ex gratia for ₹2 lakh each for the next of kin of the deceased and ₹ 50,000 for the injured.
RAE BARELI Seven people were killed and 35 injured when a private bus collided with a pick-up truck near the NTPC Unchahar power plant in Rae Bareli district around 5.30pm on Saturday, police said.
Chief minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed grief at the loss of lives and announced ex gratia for Rs 2 lakh each for the next of kin of the deceased and Rs 50,000 for the injured in the accident at Rae Bareli.
Superintendent of police Sujata Singh confirmed seven deaths in the accident. Dalmau circle officer Vineet Singh said five of the seven dead were identified as Ramrati (78), Usha Kamlesh, 35, Parvati Ratipal, 50, Banshi Lal, 35, and Ankit Sonkar, 25. Ankit Sonkar was the driver of
pickup truck. The injured were admitted to the NTPC hospital and the Rae Bareli district hospital. Former UP minister and sitting Unchahar MLA Manoj Kumar Pande (Samajwadi Party) rushed to the accident site.
