Employee at SSP residence ends life

LUCKNOW :A class four employee posted at the residence of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) ended his life by hanging himself from the ceiling of a rented room in Qaiserbagh police area here on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. His body was found hanging from the ceiling on Sunday morning when some locals peeked into his house from open window on having suspicion.

The deceased, Ram Varan Yadav, 40, was posted at the SSP residence for past many years and was considered to be most disciplined and jovial staff. Police said the initial probe hinted that Yadav took the grave step over his strained married life.

Circle officer (CO) of Qaiserbagh area, Amit Kumar Rai said the police so far have not found any suicide note but the investigation suggested that he has strained relations with his wife.

The CO said the deceased’s wife Anita along with the couple’s 10-year-old son was staying with her maternal family for the past six months. He said the body has been sent for post-mortem examination after informing the deceased’s family about the incident and further probe in the matter is on.
