Top Obama aide travels to China ahead of G20 meet

US national security adviser Susan Rice will travel to Beijing and Shanghai ahead of the September G-20 summit in China, the White House said on Friday. The July 24-27 trip comes amid continuing tension over Chinese claims to reefs and islands in the South China Sea, and follows a ruling by an international court against Beijing’s claims in the waters.
