BARALA URGES JATS TO MAINTAIN LAW AND ORDER, ASSURES THEM GOVT WILL GIVE COMPENSATION TO INNOCENT PERSONS INJURED DURING THE QUOTA STIR LAST FEB

Subhash Barala, president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s Haryana unit, on Saturday, visited the Jat protesters at Dhani Gopal village in Fatehabad district, a day before the All India Jat Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti is observing Balidan Divas across the state.

Urging the Jats to maintain law and order, Barala assured them the government has accepted their demands and will be giving compensation to innocent persons who sustained injuries during the violent quota stir last February.

Meanwhile AIJASS Hisar district president Krishan Kirmara questioned Barnala’s decision to visit dharna sites at Fatehabad and Rewari.

“Barala visited the protesters at Rewari after 3pm on Friday. Around that time, only a dozen agitators remain at the dharna spot. In any case, why is Barala is visiting Fatehabad or Rewari? He should visit our dharna site at Ramayan village or Jassia Mor.”

Kirmara warned the administration that if it took any action against the “peaceful” Jat protests , “we will fight back”.

“We have requested the youths not to block roads or railway lines in Haryana. As we are expecting more than 30,000 people to visit our dharna site, we have requested the owner of the fields to provide us land to accommodate people.

The owner has accepted our request and we also gives him compensation,” said Kirmara, adding that even the former MLA from Narnond assembly, Rambhagat Malik, has extended support to the protest on Saturday. Hisar deputy commissioner (DC) Nikhil Gajraj and superintendent of police (SP) Rajendra Kumar Meena led police and paramilitary forces during a flag march at Hansi, 20 km from Ramayan village where Jats are already holding a protest.

SP Meena said: “We have 12 companies of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Rapid Action Force (RAF) and Haryana police keeping vigil in Hisar. If required, we will call in more companies to maintain law and order.

We are keeping an eye on every movement of the protesters. The Hisar administration is ready to deal with any untoward situation.”

The railway police force (RPF) has also brought in one company to avert any untoward situation. SECURITY PERSONNEL TAKE OUT FLAG MARCH
