Senior bureaucrat Ashok Khemka on Saturday hit out at the Haryana government for what he termed its inaction on any of the alleged scams in the state.

Khemka, currently posted as principal secretary, science and technology department, took to Twitter on Saturday morning: “No action still on any scam, whether land, license or seeds. New Gwal Pahari (Gurgaon MC) land scam. Effective action missing. Only eyewash.”

On December 2 last year, too, the Haryana-cadre IAS officer had tweeted: “My reports of May 21, 2013, and February 12, 2015, on various land scams gathering dust. All is hunky-dory for the corrupt. Nexus is well entrenched.” In this tweet, Khemka, apparently mentioned the controversy over the issue of ownership of 464 acres of prime land in Gwal Pahari in Gurgaon.

Amit Arya, media advisor to the chief minister, said the state government had taken concrete action in all cases. “The case pertaining to Gwal Pahari land, which is subjudice, is all about claims and counter-claims. There is also a stay on the case, and the orders of two financial commissioners complicate it further. This is being dealt with at the highest level,” he said.
