Sachin celebrates 44th birthday with fans at Wankhede

The Mumbai Indians camp and the Wankhede Stadium crowd made it a memorable 44th birthday for Sachin Tendulkar, as they broke into a chorus of “Happy Birthday to You” for the India legend during the first strategic break of Monday’s IPL game.

It was also a special day for Sachin fans at the Wankhede, as the legend cut the cake in front of the spectators who had come to witness the match between Mumbai Indians and Rising Pune Supergiant.

The cake was placed next to the Mumbai Indians dugout with Matthew Hayden ‘interviewing’ Sachin. Sachin’s birthday has become a part of the Mumbai Indians’ annual calendar. Last time, the team was in Delhi and Sachin had skipped the trip to celebrate the birthday with family and friends. But this time around, the schedule has been favourable and Mumbai Indians were playing at the Wankhede Stadium on the day.
