Labourer’s body found in a sack in Lud­hi­ana

: A man, ap­pear­ing to be a mi­grant labourer, was found mur­dered on the Mul­lan­pur-Jang­pur road on Thurs­day evening. The killers had stuffed the body in a sack and dumped it on the road­side. Panic gripped the area af­ter news about the in­ci­dent spread.

The po­lice came to know about it, when com­muters no­ticed the body in the sack and in­formed them.

In­spec­tor Jasvir Singh, SHO, Mul­lan­pur Dakha po­lice sta­tion, said that clothes, ex­cept un­der­gar­ments, were re­moved from the body by the killers. The killers had also crammed a piece of cloth into his mouth.

He added that the de­ceased ap­peared to be in his 30’s. It is sus­pected the vic­tim was killed some­where else and the body was dumped here. The po­lice have been try­ing to iden­tify the de­ceased. He added it ap­peared a case of per­sonal en­mity. The po­lice have reg­is­tered a case of mur­der against uniden­ti­fied ac­cused.
