Garrison engineer of Amritsar had refused to take over the accommodation of 208 units in 2011 due to defects in construction, including leakage. The station headquarters, ignored it and allotted the units in November 2011 and February 2012. In 2015, the garrison engineer observed that even sewage system constructed for these units was faulty leading to overflowing manholes.
