He was the do­mes­tic help of Tal­wars. The CBI had con­ducted a lie-de­tec­tion test and narco anal­y­sis on the three helps but their role was ruled out.

Dr Anita Du­rani drew at­ten­tion be­cause the rift between Aarushi and her fa­ther was be­ing linked to his al­leged af­fair with Du­rani.

Ut­tar Pradesh Po­lice

They drew crit­i­cism for tam­per­ing with the crime scene. They claimed to have cracked the case but failed to ex­plain why Ra­jesh Tal­war was a sus­pect.

Judge Shyam Lal

The spe­cial CBI judge sen­tenced the Tal­wars to life. The ver­dict was based on 26 cir­cum­stan­tial ev­i­dence its lan­guage was coloured with ac­cu­sa­tions.
