THREE CRPF PERSONNEL AMONG 11 INJURED IN SRINAGAR GRENADE ATTACK
Eleven people, including four policemen and three Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel, were injured in a grenade attack by suspected militants in Srinagar on Sunday, police said.
Police spokesperson Manoj Kumar said that they rushed to Paladium Cinema in Maisuma area of Lal Chowk following reports of a grenade attack by terrorists.Sources said that an assistant sub-inspector and two constables of 132 battalion were among the three injured Central Reserve Police Force personnel.
The injured civilians, including two women, were identified as Humaira, Taliba Gulshan, Abdul Qayoom and Shadab Shah.
The injured were shifted to the hospital for treatment. “They are stated to be stable,” the police spokesperson said.
A case in this regard was registered and officials are trying to establish circumstances of the attack. Police have requested people to assist them if they have any information that can help in the investigation.
