Hindustan Times (Patna) - Live - - Entertainment - YASHIKA MATHUR

TV actor Shivin Narang (left) might have got noticed in the role of Yuvraj in a campus drama series, but he only made it big after playing the role of a caring elder brother Ranvijay in a daily soap. This acceptance of a more serious character makes him feel he has matured as an actor.

“I started with a youthful drama that showed how lovers behave and the issues faced by youngsters. Now, I am working in a family drama, so I feel as if I have been promoted from college life to family life within three years. It just makes me feel that I have matured as an actor and can take up really serious roles,” says Shivin.

Even though Shivin does not have a sibling in real life, his on-screen sister Digangana Suryavanshi, who plays the character of Veera, made it easy for him to enact the role on-screen.

“I have a loving family, and that is why I have never felt lonely. I always have my cousins around who are mostly boys. Before playing Ranvijay’s character, I was nervous and had no idea about how to treat a girl. But thanks to Digangana, who is younger to me in real life too, a sibling bond was formed easily between us. She made it very easy for me to play her elder brother,” he says.
