‘It’s not Bollywood!’

Actor Sharman Joshi (right) says that people should stop referring to the Hindi film industry as Bollywood.

“I don’t know what’s it with people, why they want to call it Bollywood. It’s Indian Film Industry. So, we should do away with Tollywood, Bollywood, etc. We are just Indian Film Industry. And when we do need to refer to a prticular industry, maybe we should call it Hindi Film Industry, or Tamil film industry, and so on,” says the 3 Idiots actor.

In fact, he says that’s the only thing that he’d like to change about the industry. “If I could change just one thing about the industry, I’ll change the way we refer to it,” says Joshi, who is currently busy with his stage plays and an upcoming erotic-thriller.

“I’m glad that I’ve got back to the stage. There has been a lot of learning and un-learing, it gives me a lot of thrill to perform live. As for films, I am doing an erotic-thriller which has been written by Vikram Bhatt. It is going to be different from what I have done recently,” says Joshi.
