Ac­tor-turned­politi­cian Hema Malini, who was in an ac­ci­dent last week wherein a two-year-old was killed, has come un­der Twit­ter blaze af­ter get­ting what many are call­ing pref­er­en­tial treat­ment. While the ac­tor was rushed to a pri­vate hos­pi­tal, the child was taken to a gov­ern­ment hos­pi­tal. She took to Twit­ter to thank peo­ple for their wishes, but also added how the girl’s fa­ther should’ve been care­ful. “How I wish the girl’s fa­ther fol­lowed the traf­fic rules — thn this ac­ci­dent could have been averted & the lil one’s life safe! (sic).” Her tweet got mixed re­ac­tions. A user, Surya­narayan Ganesh, said, “@dream­girl­hema how dif­fer­ent it would have been if you had taken the lil one along to your plush hos­pi­tal to treat your mi­nor cuts :( (sic)”. There were tweets in her sup­port too. Hu­man­i­tar­ian Lallu posted, “@dream­girl­hema I wish you were wear­ing seat­belt and you would not get hurt (sic)”.
