Actor Himani Shivpuri (left) says she prefers to stay away from sex comedies, but has nothing against people who act in them. “I don’t act in sex comedies, but whoever acts in them, I don’t consider it bad, because cinema, art and theatre are the mirrors of society. People love them (sex comedies), that’s why they are made. The day people stop watching sex comedies, makers will stop making them,” she said. Of late, the aspect of sexuality has been portrayed far too often in cinema and Shivpuri, who believes that “sex is a big truth of life”, says that it can be shown in a good manner. The actor, who was seen at the celebration party of a Hindi play, also spoke about the importance of comedy plays and said she wants to promote theatre. “Life is so stressful, and when you get a chance to see such a light hearted comedy, it makes you stress-free and your tension just disappears. Above, all I am a theatre person, from National School of Drama, I want to promote theatre,” said the 54-year-old actor.
