Actor Gautami Kapoor (right) played popular characters on television before taking a sabbatical to give time to her personal life, but she was always confident that her acting would get appreciated by her fans, whenever she decided to come back to work.

“I never doubted my craft. I really love what I do and I never want to disappoint my fans. So, when I come to work I really enjoy myself. I hoped that my fans will accept me, when I came back, and I didn’t come with any expectations. The fact that they have accepted me makes me very happy. I really owe it to them,” says Gautami, who has played the lead role in shows such as Ghar Ek Mandir and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.

Gautami, who is married to actor Ram Kapoor, is mother of daughter Sia, 9 and son Aks, 6. She says that there was never any confusion in her mind about taking a break to start her family. “When I decided to go the family way, I was very clear about what I wanted to do. We had our children in quick succession. So, when my daughter was only two years old I was going to have my second child. When you are dealing with two young infants, you don’t know where the time goes,” says Gautami.
