Ed Sheeran pens 50 songs for next album

Sheeran (left) is hard at work on his next album, following the success of his second full-length X last year. His first, titled +, released in 2011. And guess what, Sheeran says he has already written about 50 songs for his third, even though he doesn’t want to release the collection any time soon, reports femalefirst. co.uk.
“I’ve done 40, maybe more like 50 songs already, and I’m not planning to release it for another year and a half, so I want to do a few more,” says the Thinking Out Loud hitmaker, who admits that he’s under “pressure” to live up to his fans’ expectations. “There is even more pressure now. When you have a whole company depending on one thing, if I don’t release the goods, it’ll be awkward,” says the 24-year-old songwriter and singer, who is rumoured to be dating Irish model Louise Johnston.
Sheeran adds that he has been touring for “five years without a break” now and is hopeful that he will be able to take a welldeserved one before finalising his album.
