No one will cast me with SRK: Kavita
Television actor Kavita
Kaushik (left), best known for playing the role of tough cop Chandramukhi Chautala in a comedy sitcom, says she does not want to compromise her TV career to get into films.
The 34-year-old actor, who’s competing with other stars on a dance-based reality show, says she does not carry “false dreams” of being a Bollywood actor and is very content with her success on television. “TV is my territory and I am never going to leave it for films. I don’t keep false dreams. I know no one will cast me alongside Salman or Shahrukh and I am not going to play side roles like that of a sister or a bhabhi. Television is where I have made it big, I can work on my terms and play meaty roles there,” she says.
The actor, who calls herself “very filmy”, says she is going to miss former judge, actor Madhuri Dixit on the show, who was part of the judging panel for the past three years but has opted out this season. “All four judges this season are great and are masters of their art. But I am a very filmy person and with no Madhuri, I am surely going to miss that Bollywood heroine masala on the show,” she said.
