The team behind the popular Aashiqui 2 (2013) song, Tum Hi Ho, is pleased that a Canadian doctor sang the song to profess his love to his Indian wife, Simran Malhotra, during their recent wedding in Baltimore. The video of the groom — Frank Gregoire — singing the track, has gone viral, and the makers of the original are over the moon.

The song’s composer, Mithoon, is proud to know that his song is helping people fall in love. “To see Tum Hi Ho making people fall in love and helping them spend time with each other gives me immense satisfaction as a composer. I think I’ve achieved what I wanted to say through this song,” he says.

The groom, Frank, told a Canadian daily that it took six weeks for him to master the song. “I approached Simran’s mom and she recommended a few options, one of which was Tum Hi Ho. Once I read the translation, I realised I couldn’t have found anything better to express my feelings to her,” Frank was quoted as saying.
