STARRY EID FESTIVITIES
The spellbinding Eid ka chaand will have everyone under its charm, and many from the showbiz are going to celebrate the festival with gusto
“I am going to Lucknow to be with my family this Eid. Unfortunately I’ll have to fly back the same day because of prior commitments in Mumbai. I will be going for namaz with my granddad. And will also visit the old alleys of the town from where my ancestors come and bond with the family,” Fazal says.
Actor Rakshanda Khan is looking forward to the festival as this is her first Eid with her daughter. “It is a special day for us as this is our first Eid with our daughter. For us Eid and Diwali are celebrated in the same way. We decorate the house with lights and flowers,” she says.
Mohammad Nazim is all set to go to Punjab to celebrate Eid with his family. “I always go to Punjab as my family is settled there and celebrate Eid with them”. His Eid plans includes a lot of shopping for his family a and organising parties for them. “I am sure its going to be great fun this year,” he says.
“I am shooting in London with my brother (actor Saqib Saleem) for our upcoming film (Bollywood remake of Oculus).I am planning to have an Eid lunch with the whole cast and crew. And as soon as we pack up, I am hoping to catch a show of Bajrangi Bhaijaan, too,” says Huma.
“I’d be shooting this Eid, but I’ll pack up early to go home for a lavish feast with the family. We all get together and my mom makes sumptuous delicacies, which I enjoy only this time around the year. It sends my diet and calorie count for a toss. Later, I plan to take my mom out for a vacation,” says Zareen.
AAMIR AND SANJEEDA
Actor Aamir Ali has a set plan every year for Eid. He makes sure to celebrate with his wife actor Sanjeeda Sheikh and his mother. “Like every year, I will go for morning prayers and come back home to take blessings from mom. She still gives me eidi,” he says.
Actor Irrfan Khan is busy shooting for his next film in Mumbai but will work harder to wind up early. “I am shooting on Eid. But I will try to come back home early and spend the time with my family,” says Irrfan, who is busy with his next, which also stars actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
This Eid, it will be special for actor Ayub Khan, as his kids are home from boarding school. “I have my family over to my place, also my kids who study at boarding school have come home to celebrate Eid, so it is going to be a lavish affair with lots of food and sweets. I will also celebrate it with the cast and crew, when I am working,” he says.
“I have been busy with my upcoming film, directed by Muzaffar Ali. I was reluctant to ask Muzzafar Saab if I can go home (Pakistan) as there was a lot of dubbing to be done, but finally I asked him and he immediately said yes. I am very happy as Eid is something very special to me and I like to spend it with my family back home,” Imran says
